Počinje Pop!Tech

poptech_onstage.jpgTo je moja omiljena konferencija koja se održava svake godine u Kamdenu u Mejnu. Ako se sećate nekih mojih postova sa starog bloga (Trivers, Dawkins itd...), to je sa Pop!Techa. Prošle godine sam tamo sreo i Jasminu Tešanović, a ove godine (avaj!) nisam mogao da odem.

Ali ne lezi vraže! Ove godine ima live stream i to besplatan na www.poptech.org/live, svakog dana od 9:00 do 18:30 EST (to je od 15:00 do posle ponoći po našem) od četvrtka 18. oktobra do subote 20. oktobra. U nastavku je lista govornika, ali na engleskom (radio je copy-paste), a više detalja na www.poptech.org.

Jedna od najboljih konferencija

Poptech je svakako jedna od najboljih konferencija, znam za tu konferenciju jos pre 2 godine, mislim da je prosle godine ulaz bio 3000 dolara ali za ovu godinu ne vidim cenu. Ne znam da li je u pitanju invitation-only konferencija. Svakako vredi otici ko je u prilici i mogucnosti.

Nije invitation-only, ali je broj mesta ograničen, pa treba rezervisati koju godinu unapred. Kad imaš invitation, onda svega šest meseci unapred. Inače sama konferencija košta nešto preko 2000 dolara plus smeštaj plus putni troškovi, izađe na oko četiri-pet soma :( Zato me i raduje da ima ovaj live stream. Ima još jedna na zapadnoj obali, zove se TED, ali meni je Pop!Tech bolji.

I naravno da si potpuno u pravu da ne treba propustiti pop!tech. Malo reklamiram i TED. :)
Oba "sajta" kao dva veeeliiika cyber "Zabavnika". Uživancija.

Ne mi diraj TED ! :)
Dobar je TED. Provalio sam da sam bar pet govornika sa TED-a slušao na Pop!Techu (Enriquez, Barnett, Dawkins, Anderson, Porco). Što se gledalaca tiče, na TED-u je uglavnom zapadna obala, a na Pop!Techu najviše Njujork.

Samo mi ponekad žao što ne vidim (možda ne gledam u dobrom pravcu, ne znam) inicijative ovakvog profila kod kuće...
Tako nešto je retkost i u Americi, a kamoli u Srbiji. Ali ima nekih pomaka i u Srbiji u tom pravcu, no otom-potom :)

Ha, zanimljivo je uporediti

age pyramids Iraka i Avganistana sa Nemačkom ili Francuskom. Vrlo neobična piramida Irana- revolucija, ako ništa, proizvela dosta dece, mada oduševljenje, izgleda, splašnjava. A interesantne su i razlike u okviru razvijenog sveta. Na primer, UK/USA nasuprot Italije/Španije, mada UK i Germany, na primer, imaju naglašeni surplus žena od 80+ (now, I wonder why, :))))))))).

Ima na Pop!techu nešto i za pajonirs - govori Mustafa Cerić, a pajonirs danas nisu što su nekad bili (dok smo mi bili pajonirs)... a za našu generaciju - Tom Barnet sa prošlog Pop!techa.
