At the request of Kristina’s parents, I repeat the blog. This is another attempt hoping that someone will answer. There were only a few people from abroad who contacted, through private messages, to help Kristina. But in the meantime, they either gave up or they did not have time to call back again. A small amount of money that was raised in “ALL FOR KRISTINA” campaign has already been spent, but the fight for her life is not over yet.
Kristina Denčić was diagnosed with cancer of the thyroid gland last year. After the treatment and persistent struggle with perseverance, there was an improvement. Unfortunately, it was only temporary. Recently, she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma stage III. At the moment, Kristina is having her treatments in Belgrade since the therapies so far have not given best results. The stem cells are extracted, and what follows is the autotransplantation. Kristina is treated in Belgrade, but she lives in Pertate, a village between Leskovac and Lebane. Her parents spend almost 170 Euros (200 dollars) every time they go to Belgrade. Last month, they went to Belgrade five times. Not to mention the costs of the treatments, specific diets that Kristina must follow through. But the travelling and the treatments are about to come, also the fight for Kristina’s life. For some people, maybe, this amount of money is not a thing of a greater concern, but, for The South of Serbia where people earn 100 – 150 euros a month, but even if you are lucky enough to get a job, this amount of money is something to dream about. Kristina's parents have lost their jobs, and beside Kristina, they have two more children to educate and feed. For now, Kristina’s parents are helpless. They try to earn the money, but it is not enough for their bare living, not to mention Kristina’s treatment.
People of good will, help Kristina.
