‘Twas the Night Before New Year's
And all through Belgrade
Everyone was still shopping
Without a single plan made
We rush to the markets
We rush to the malls
We are crushed in our numbers
Into spaces quite small
And out on the streets
There arose such great traffic
With shouting and honking
And kids getting carsick
In the very last minute
We panic and stumble
Soon ‘twill be New Year's
No time to grumble
Then off to the parties
We set off again
But when we will arrive
No one knows when
And what if by chance
We are stuck in a jam
Or trying to park
When midnight comes: "Damn!"
But not all is lost
No need to despair
In a couple of weeks
A new New Year to prepare!
